I have been collecting coins for several years now and primarily collect US Coins with just a few foreign coins.  I am not sure yet how to really impart my interest for a hobby that many people seem to find boring.  All I can say is that it is a hobby that has an extremely low cost to begin, you could start with what’s in your pocket and teaches a very simple lesson.  What I find valuable you may not, and vice-versa.  So don’t place too much value on things others like, rather learn what you like and you will be all the happier.
